• Owner information you enter in the Settings Hub (name, timezone)

• PetSpotlight submissions (pet name, breed, interesting fact, photo)
• Crypto wallet addresses submitted for PetVault whitelisting
• Email address if you contact us or sign up for updates

Information collected automatically:

• Extension usage data (features used, frequency of interactions)
• Browser type and version
• General geographic region (country/region level only)
• Error logs and crash reports to improve stability

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve PetPal Hub, including to:

• Personalise daily motivational quotes and reminders from your pet
• Display your pet in the PetSpotlight feature to other users
• Process PetVault NFT whitelist registrations
• Show curated affiliate products in PetBazaar relevant to your pet type
• Operate and improve PetMatch adoption listings
• Deliver BarkGains exclusive deals to Premium members
• Respond to your questions or support requests

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With your consent: When you submit a PetSpotlight, your pet's name, breed, and interesting fact are displayed to all extension users worldwide.
• Service providers: Trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the extension (hosting, analytics, payment processing) under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Brand partners: Aggregate, anonymised data may be shared with advertisers and brand partners in PetBazaar and PawPro Hub. We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers.

• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice to users.

TikTok Integration

PetPal Hub may integrate with TikTok to allow users to share pet spotlights, art, and content to TikTok directly from the extension. When you use TikTok-connected features:

• We request only the minimum permissions necessary to enable sharing functionality
• We do not store your TikTok credentials or access tokens beyond the active session
• Content you choose to share to TikTok is subject to TikTok's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
• We do not access your TikTok followers, messages, or feed data
• You can revoke PetPal Hub's access to your TikTok account at any time via TikTok's app settings

Cookies & Local Storage

PetPal Hub uses browser local storage (not traditional cookies) to save your preferences and pet profile data locally on your device. This data does not leave your browser unless you explicitly use features that submit it (such as PetSpotlight).

• Pet profile data is stored locally in Chrome extension storage
• Reminder preferences and notification times are saved locally
• Our website may use standard analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns
• You can clear extension data at any time via Chrome's extension management settings

Third-Party Services

PetPal Hub contains links and integrations with third-party services, including:

• PetBazaar: Affiliate product links direct to third-party retailers. Their privacy policies apply to purchases.
• PawPro Hub: Service listings link to external pet service businesses.
• PetMatch: Adoption listings may link to external rescue organisations and shelters.
• TailTreasures & PawPrints: Digital art and merchandise orders may be fulfilled by third-party print providers.
• Payment processing: Premium subscriptions and Spotlight purchases are processed by secure third-party payment providers. We do not store your payment card details.
• Donation processing: PayPal and cryptocurrency donations are processed by their respective platforms.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

You can delete all locally stored extension data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's extension storage in your browser settings.

• PetSpotlight submissions are retained for the duration of the spotlight period plus 30 days
• Support correspondence is retained for up to 2 years
• Aggregated, anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely
• Local extension data is stored on your device until you delete it

Children's Privacy

PetPal Hub is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at petpalextension@gmail.com and we will promptly delete such information.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to our servers
